    The Opportunity

    You will be part of a dynamic and highly skilled, consulting team that provides planning and program support for a large-scale technology modernization project in the federal government. You will be a part of a talented team charged with monitoring and analyzing a federal program. You will use your knowledge and experience to obtain, integrate and report out on client data using MS Project. You will build and maintain project schedules, provide analysis, and support on assigned program workloads for decision making. The ideal candidate will be: a team-player, an influencer who is technically adept, a problem solver, an independent and critical thinker, who thinks of solutions to maximize efficiencies.

    Required skills for a successful candidate include:

     

    • Advanced experience with scheduling, critical path analysis, using Microsoft Project for managing tasks, managing timelines, measuring progress, and generating reports
    • Functional knowledge of program, project and risk management practices and methodologies
    • Updating the project schedule for weekly status meetings with stakeholders
    • Proficient experience with scheduling on IT projects
    • Provide options and assessments across multiple discipline areas (i.e., design, development, and contingency plans)
    • Perform schedule risk assessments and manage multiple task assignments with quick deadlines

    Key Responsibilities

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • US Citizen, able to obtain and maintain US government Public Trust clearance
      • Legal Permanent Residents may qualify with a minimum of 3 years of US residency
    • Bachelor's degree in: Business, Computer Sciences, Finance or similar/related fields
    • 2-3 years of demonstrated, functional scheduling experience
    • Understanding and in-depth experience of the full Systems Development Life-cycle (SDLC)
    • Microsoft Project knowledge and near-expert level of MS (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
    • Demonstrated proficiency in developing and maintaining an integrated master schedule (IMS)
    • Ability to analyze tasks/work packages in the IMS for correctness to include durations, resources needed/available, linkages and dependencies
    • Collaborate and communicate with personnel at different levels of the organization
    • Facilitate meetings with client points of contact to solicit updates to schedule and resolve discrepancies
    • Detailed oriented and able to work independently with minimum guidance or supervision
    • Demonstrated ability to learn new skills rapidly
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Technical capabilities in creation of dynamic deliverables using MS Office Suite
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
    • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

     

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    • Agile methodology experience
    • Project Support or Project Management experience and/or certifications
    • Experience in the federal government
