Thelan’s internship program provides a unique summer experience in our downtown Washington, D.C. headquarters.  For 10 to 12 weeks, you’ll develop your own initiatives as well as work on meaningful projects that make an immediate impact on our growing firm. By working alongside our team of professionals and through self-directed study, you will learn the basics of management consulting, project management, and business strategy. 


  • Manage internal corporate projects through lifecycle with minimal supervision
  • Conduct research and provide analysis in support of Thelan consultants’ client work
  • Participate in projects and work assignments across departments including, but not limited to, administration, operations, and digital strategy
  • Analyze complex problems and develop and present potential solutions
  • Identify and establish project goals in collaboration with corporate lead and outline a plan to achieve those goals


  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to learn new subject matter quickly
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well with others and be an independent thinker
