    The Opportunity

    As a Project Controls Manager you will play an important role in our Planning and Program Controls division. You will be part of a dynamic and highly skilled, consulting team that provides planning and program controls support for the federal government and private sector. You will support with planning, monitoring and analyzing federal and private programs. You will use your knowledge and experience to obtain, integrate and report out on client data. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, detail oriented, data driven, action oriented and have strong analytical problem-solving skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide input for planning and program controls policies, guidance, and procedures, supporting the successful execution of program/ project objectives
    • Provide leadership to planning and program controls team, including advising scheduling implementation methodologies, best practices and critical schedule analysis
    • Interface with clients and foster positive collaborative relationships
    • Manage planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring project tasks from initiation to completion
    • Support schedulers with the process of building the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), identify detailed tasks, establishing predecessor/successor dependencies, and estimating task durations with the project team
    • Works closely with project and support teams to monitor project progress
    • Perform schedule risk analysis should slippage occur, provide results, and facilitate recommended mitigation activities
    • Attend, provide support and participate in project/program/release planning, schedule, and status meetings

    To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have:

    • US Citizen, able to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance
    • 9+ years’ experience with MS Project 2010/2013 required
    • 9+ years’ consulting experience required
    • Bachelor’s degree in: Business, Computer Sciences, or similar/related fields required
    • Experience with supporting IT projects
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to create clear, concise, and creative presentation materials (using MS PowerPoint) for Senior Management
    • Experience and working knowledge of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
    • Understanding of industry best practices and methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Spiral etc.)
    • Strong analytical, verbal & writing skills, to include solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments with tight deadlines
    • Facility with fast-paced environments and strong problem solving skills
    • Apt in learning new skills rapidly and efficiently learn client business and processes

    Ideally, You'll Also Have:

    • PMI-SP or PSP Certification
    • PMP Certification
    • Experience working with Executive IT, or the Federal Government
    • Professional meeting and presentation preparation (materials creation, data visualization, logistics)
    • Project Support or Project Management experience
    • Knowledge of standard IT methodologies and processes, such as PMBOK, Prince2, Six Sigma, CMMI, Agile, Product Management and Systems Development Life Cycles
    • An understanding of master scheduling and integrated project planning
    • Experience with enterprise PMO and Lean PMO setup and operation
